New research shows men do not know where to go to get support with violence

No to Violence has recently commissioned a survey, which amongst other findings has shown that the majority of men would not know where to get support for their violence. Other major findings include concern around confidentiality, being perceived as weak, and cost as barriers to reaching out for support.

The findings will be launched later this week, with some additional communications activity to raise awareness of the sector, including the Men’s Referral Service. This is an important piece of advocacy and outreach to raise awareness of our sector, and that there is support available for men ready to change their violent and abusive behaviour.

Keep an eye on our Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter for more information. We have recently developed a Men’s Referral Service Facebook page to support an increase in awareness across Australia.
