Arts and crafts for Djirra

This year the staff at No to Violence has taken a creative approach to celebrating International Women’s Day, with the theme ‘working in different ways toward shared goals’.

We’re pooling our creative talents in for an arts and crafts auction!

Some staff have chosen to contribute works that demonstrate their own creative talents, while others have elected to contribute works by friends, or items that have some special meaning to them. Our talented teammates have pledged an array of contributions, from framed prints to pottery, fresh and pickled produce to handmade candles, embroidery to bespoke cheesecake and more.

The creations will be displayed for two weeks within our office, during which time all items will be available for purchase via silent auction. At the end of two weeks all money raised be donated to Aboriginal women’s organisation Djirra.

The arts and crafts auction will be launching at 2pm, this Thursday, 5 March. Members are welcome to join and share some afternoon tea. Members who would like to contribute an item or cash to the fundraiser should contact fundraising manager Kim Berry at kimb@ntv.org.au.
