No to Violence is offering two subsidised courses for Victorian residents in September.

Ethical care in online group work – to be delivered via Zoom on 21 September 2023, 10am-1pm

This course covers key concepts – the central importance of family safety, practice skills/interventions and the required technological and training skills to use technology mediated platforms. The training explores the context of online practice; and the pragmatic needs and ways in which family violence risk needs to be discussed and managed.

Specialist Practice: Skills for working online with men using family violence – to be delivered via Zoom on 28 September 2023, 10am-1pm

This course will assist participants to improve confidence in skill transference from face to face to online facilitation work; support facilitators with an ethic of care approach in agency staff, client and family safety work; ensure a focus on monitoring safety; and enhance the client adult learning experience as part of encouraging behavioural change.

It is recommended that participants complete ‘Ethical Care in Online Group Work’ training prior to undertaking this course.
