The recently held NTV Advanced Practice Supervision (men’s family violence), run by our very own Head of Workforce Development Tori Cooke, was attended by experienced supervisors and managers from Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales. 

All commented on the importance of understanding gendered dynamics in direct work with family violence.  Several commented on how helpful the training was in reminding us of the need to observe and include in reflective practice discussions the ways in which people learn using Kolb’s model as well as the way practitioners may become ‘blocked’ due to the many complex variables of human service work in this space.
