No to Violence had the pleasure of welcoming Australia Awards Papua New Guinea recipients into our offices this week as part of an initiative coordinated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
The visit to NTV was an instalment as part of a conference session called, Together Towards Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion, held at DFAT’s annual Aid and Development Conference. Awardees who attended the session were able to listen meet and talk with call centre staff at the Men’s Referral Service.
The Australian Government’s Australia Awards Scholarships provide Papua New Guineans with the opportunity to study in Australia and obtain tertiary qualifications from Australian universities. The program is funded as part of Australia’s aid program, administered by DFAT.
